Originally from Artesia, New Mexico, and raised in Plano, Texas, Cara blends small-town values with a global perspective. A graduate of the University of San Francisco, she earned her degree in French and European Studies. She spent time studying abroad in Aix-en-Provence, Pau, and Bayonne, France—an experience that shaped her love for culture, hospitality, and the beautiful landscapes of vineyards. After relocating to Austin in 2007, she planted roots with her family in the Hill Country, alongside two lively Parson Russell Terriers, and recently added a thriving apiary of treatment-free honeybees. Her husband, a proud University of Texas graduate, shares her deep appreciation for Austin's energy, community, and legacy.
